QFI Roofline has been installing PVC roofline since 1994 and was one of the first to achieve accredited status. To maintain this status and to be recognised as a bona fide company by the Office of Fair Trading, standards have to be high and delivered to customers on a continuous basis.

Chris Campbell, Managing Director at QFI comments “Too many innocent people are being fooled by non bona fide companies. What we need is stricter control over those that call themselves Roofline Installers to instil confidence in clients.”

With this said, QFI realise that introducing tighter regulations will take time. For this reason, they continue to advise those considering having roofline installed to ask questions such as:

•    Do their installers have City & Guilds qualifications for installing roofline?
•    Do they hold an Approved Installer Certificate from a manufacturer? (If so, check their approved installer number with manufacturer)
•    Do they offer a double indemnity guarantee, i.e., manufacturer’s guarantee as well as an installation guarantee? (You don’t want to be played off between 2 companies if you are not satisfied)
•    Do they have Public Liability Insurance?
•    Are they registered with the Office of Fair Trading?
