Capping occurs when an unqualified company with inferior materials, place plastic on top of the wood causing damage to the wood. This technique is purely cosmetic. It only hides the true problem and does not resolve it.

Pinking (discolourisation) occurs when cheap PVCUe is used that discolours over a short period of time, turning pink or turning yellow.

Providing installation when unqualified and in the long run causing problems with both installation and materials. Make sure your roofline installers have certification, insurance and are a bone fide company- stay clear of “one man and his van” operations.
