Choosing a supplier of roofline products can be very difficult with many claiming to be experts but only a few living up to expectations.

So before you sign up here is a handy checklist to make sure you are making the right decision.

• Do their installers have City & Guilds qualifications for installing roofline?
• Do they hold an Approved Installer Certificate from a manufacturer? (If so, check their approved installer number with manufacturer)
• Do they offer a double indemnity guaratee, i.e., manufacturer’s guarantee as well as an installation guarantee? (You don’t want to be played off between 2 companies if you are not satisfied)
• Do they have testimonials from satisfied clients?
• Are they registered under SEPA and COSHH for waste management?
• Do they have Public Liability Insurance?
• Do they have a proper website or are they a man-and-a-van outfit?
• Are they registered with the Office of Fair Trading?
• How long have they been established? (ask for proof)
• How long have they been specialising only in roofline?
• Ask to visit their premises!
• Does the product comply with BS 4619 – PVCue and BS 1506 – Colour fastness?
